encrypt Encrypting Security for Windows

The idea is small and simple, yet the encryption aims to be a strong as possible
encrypt is a small, simple, easy-to-use but powerful and reliable application which has been designed, from the beginning, to be as simple to use as can be and have the smallest file size (download time) possible. The idea is small and simple, yet the encryption aims to be a strong as possible

It has been written in C as to allow the source to be ported to many different operating systems, under GNU/Linux Systems the libraries are ELF 32-bit LSB dynamically linked libraries, and on MS Systems they’re DLL files.

It also has a simple graphical user interface (GUI) using the GIMP Tool Kit (GTK); as the GTK has been ported to many other systems this makes it ideal for using to keep encrypt flexible

· A few changes to the GUI and a few other changes to how the GUI starts up. The changes to the way it looks don’t need too much of an explanation — instead of toggling a couple of radio buttons to decide the direction in which the file is processed, it’s now selected at the top with the file. Easy.
· The algorithm combobox now defaults to the first (top) algorithm — on GNU they are listed alphabetically, and on MS systems it’s done randomly (or maybe which order they are stored in the directory entry).
