FIVE File Integrity Verification and Encryption Encrypting Security for Windows

FIVE is an application that has been designed encrypt/decrypt files and to detect whether files have been modified
FIVE is a smart and powerful application that has been designed encrypt/decrypt files and to detect whether files have been modified between 2 uses of FIVE.

FIVE uses the Advanced Encrytion Standard (AES), i. e., Rijndael, to encrypt/decrypt and the Secure hash Algorithm version 1 (SHA1) to check file integrity.

SET is a subset of FIVE that encrypts and decrypts files and directories with the AES.

In both applications the AES is keyed by a 128 bit key generated with SHA1 from a user password. This password can be changed each time a file is encrypted. There is no password or key recovery mechanism.

Here are some key features of “FIVE File Integraty Verification and Encryption”:

· encrypt/decrypt selected files;
· check whether selected files have been tampered with;
· to save the file list of a selected disk and use it as a reference in a future list comparison.
