This program can put passwords on any common Windows file such as: AVI, BMP, GIF, HTM, DOC, HTML, JPG, JPEG, JPE, MOV, MOOV, MP3, MPEG, MPG, PSD, RM, RAM, RTF, SHN, TXT, WAV, WMA, WMV, XLS and ZIP file formats.
The program encrypts the file and will not decrypt it and open it without the correct password. Once the correct password is supplied, Visually Safe will place a decrypted copy of the file in the temp directory, rename it with a new 19 character randomly generated name, and open it from that directory. After opened, it automatically deletes itself and from the recently viewed documents located in the Start menu if added.
